Jalisco is one of the states that make up the thirty-two states of the United Mexican States. It is the land of charros, jaripeos, mariachi, tequila and many of the cultural traditions that in the world are associated with the authentic Mexican.

It is located in the western part of the country. It borders the state of Nayarit to the northwest; With the states of Zacatecas and Aguascalientes to the north; With the state of Guanajuato to the east; And with the states of Colima and Michoacánhacia the south. Towards the west, it has an important coastal strip with the Pacific Ocean.

The climate in the state goes from warm subhumid to temperate semi-dry, highlighting the sub-humid semicálido with rains in summer.

In May, the date of the event, the climate is usually warmer and drier throughout the year.
