QUESTIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE INTERSEK DEPORTIVO GUADALAJARA 2017 |
1.- Who can participate?
SEK/IES students who are between 12 and 16 years old. There can be maximum 16 participants in each delegation accompanied by 1 or 2 teachers from their school
2.-Which airport are they going to arrive to?
All delegations must arrive to Guadalajara International Airport Miguel Hidalgo. The arrivals may be programmed from Saturday, May 6 and departures from Saturday, May 13.
3.- Where are they going to stay?
The participants will stay with the host family from our school. In case there may be not enough host families, some delegation may stay at one of the nearby hotels.
4.- Which documents are requiered to travel?
A Passport which is valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel.
5.- What is the students` uniform?
Formal school uniform is not necessary All stundents must wear their full institutional sports uniform as well as uniform that is specific for each sport.
6.- Is it necessary to have Medical Insurance?
Each delegation must make sure that all students have International health Insurance. Each delegation must send us the name of the Insurance company and prove that an accompanying teacher has all policy numbers
If some Insurance company has a refund policy then the teacher who is travelling with the delegation must count with an approximate amount of 1000 dollars in cash in case of possible emergency.
7.- Which currency is used in Mexico?
National currency is Mexican peso. If you travel with dollars, it is possible to change them at any money exchange office or , alternatively, our school can also help with this procedure
8.- What is the weather like in Guadalajara?
Guadalajara is actually famous for its mild climate, but it is important to take into consideration that May is one of the driest and hottest months of the year.
9.- What do we need for the InterSEK Opening Ceremony?
All delegations must carry their national flags at the opening parade and present two students with traditional costumes. The rest of the delegation will parade wearing full institutional sports uniform.
Moreover, each country must prepare a thematic stand which would show the most traditional features of its country.
